Team Excel, Inc. (collectively, “Team Excel”) respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Policy provides information to Team Excel describes the types of personal information we collect, how we use the information, with whom we may share it and the choices available regarding our use of the information. We also describe measures we take to protect the security of the information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices. This Privacy Policy applies to all the products and services offered by Team Excel (including on our websites (“Sites”) and mobile applications (“Apps”) (collectively, the “Services”).

Information We Obtain
We obtain personal information about you in various ways, such as when you use our Services or otherwise communicate or interact with us at our offices, over the phone, via email or postal mail, or on social media.
The types of personal information we may obtain includes:

Team Excel role (e.g., owner, commissioner, team coach, assistant coach, player and fan);

Other information you, your coaches, or other team and league administrators choose to provide when using the Services, such as when updating profile information (e.g., about me, favorite subject(s), hobbies), inputting or updating grades, scores and metrics, making comments on the Services (e.g., on a league message board or event page), and personalizing a team page (e.g., uploading a photo of the team to be used as a banner);

Inferences about our users’ hobbies, interests and preferences;

If you are a league owner, information about your Service plan, payment information (such as payment card information and billing address), and billing history; and

Other information you choose to provide when you otherwise contact or interact with us, such as through emails or other communications, social media pages, and surveys.​
When you visit our Sites, we may obtain certain information by automated means, such as cookies, web beacons, web server logs and other technologies. A “cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. A “web beacon,” also known as an internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, links web pages to web servers and cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server. The information we collect in this manner may include your device IP address, unique device identifier, web browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, clickstream data, and dates and times of website visits.

When you use our Apps, we also may collect certain information by automated means, such as through device logs, server logs and other technologies. The information we collect in this manner may include the device type used, the mobile operating system, device identifiers and similar unique identifiers, device settings and configurations, IP addresses, battery and signal strength, usage statistics, referring emails and web addresses, dates and times of usage, actions taken on the App, and other information regarding use of the App.

We may use these automated technologies on our Services to collect information about your equipment, browsing actions, and usage patterns. These technologies help us (1) remember your information so you do not have to re-enter it; (2) track and understand how you use and interact with our Services; (3) tailor the Services around your preferences; (4) measure the usability of our Services and the effectiveness of our communications; and (5) otherwise manage and enhance our Services, and help ensure they are working properly.

Please note, however, that without these technologies, you may not be able to use all of the features of our Services. We do not obtain personal information about our visitors’ online activities over time and across third-party website. The Site is not designed to respond to “do not track” signals from browsers.
Third-Party Analytics Services
We may use third-party analytics services on our Services, such as HubSpot and Google Analytics. The information we obtain through our Services may be disclosed to or collected directly by these analytics services. Information We Share

We may share the information we obtain about you. We also may share the information we obtain about you with third-party vendors and other entities to perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, data analytics, marketing, payment processing and other services. In addition, certain of the personal information provided (such as display names, scores, and profiles) may be visible to other students/players, coaches, community leaders, and approved fans (i.e., family and friends who have been invited and approved to follow and cheer on the League).

We also may disclose personal information (1) if we are required to do so by law or legal process (such as a court order or subpoena); (2) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (3) to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; (4) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical or other harm or financial loss; (5) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity or (6) otherwise with your consent or as directed by your representative.

We reserve the right to transfer any personal information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution or liquidation).

Children’s Privacy

This section provides you with information about how we collect, use, process, and disclose the personal information when your Child uses our Services.

When your Child uses our Services, they may provide us with the following personal information:

Contact Information: Your email, your Child’s name or nickname, and the login credentials they choose to use to create a Team Excel account. Your Child also may provide the email addresses of friends and family to invite them to become a “fan” of their league.

Demographic Information: We require your Child to provide their age and date of birth for age validation; in addition, your child also may optionally provide their race, ethnicity, and gender.

Scores: You child may input “scores” for metrics defined by your Child’s school or organization, which may vary depending on the competition. For example, these metrics can measure things such as time spent volunteering or completing homework.

Profile Information: Your Child may provide information about themselves in the “about me” section on their profile, including for example, their interests and hobbies. Your Child also may upload a photo containing their image on their profile.

Other User-Generated Content: Your Child may choose to provide information—including personal information—when they make comments on league message boards and event pages, or when they otherwise contact or interact with us, such as through email and other communications (e.g., social media, surveys).

Device Information: We may collect information such as your Child’s IP address or web browser or the device identifier, hardware model, carrier, operating system versions and settings of the device used to access the App.

Log Information: We may collect information about how our Services are used, including log information about your Child’s use of the Services, such as the time and duration of your Child’s use of the Services.

Your Right to Review and Delete Your Child’s Information

If you reside in the U.S. and are a parent or legal guardian of a Child, you have the right to review and/or have the information Team Excel collects from your Child deleted. You also have the right to refuse to permit further collection or use of the information we have collected from your child or that your child has disclosed on our platform. To exercise these rights, please contact us as specified in the How To Contact Us section below. In connection with your request, please provide your name, contact information, and the nature of your request, including a reference to “Children’s Privacy (COPPA)”. To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before complying with your request.

Your Rights and Choices
We offer you certain choices in connection with the personal information we collect from you. You may update certain of your account details by logging into your account on our Services. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or use.

For your convenience and information, our Services may provide links to other online services, and may include third-party features such as apps, tools, widgets and plug-ins. These online services and third-party features may operate independently from us. The privacy practices of the relevant third parties, including details on the information they may collect about you, are subject to the privacy statements of these parties, which we strongly suggest you review. To the extent any linked online services or third-party features are not owned or controlled by Team Excel, we are not responsible for these third parties’ information practices.
